AI Quiz Generator: Turn Any Chapter Into a Practice Test in 20 Seconds

May 8, 2026 · 5 min · AI quiz generator · quiz me · practice questions

A textbook chapter is something to read. A quiz on that chapter is something to retrieve. That difference is what makes the quiz so much more useful.

The right way to use it

  1. Read a chapter normally.
  2. Paste it into Quiz me. Pick 10 questions, mixed types.
  3. Attempt before checking. No skipping. If you don't know, write your best guess.
  4. Check after all 10.
  5. For every wrong one, read the relevant section again and add a flashcard.

Question type cheat sheet

  • MCQ: good for fact recall and quick drills
  • True/False: good for definitions and misconceptions
  • Short answer: good for explaining concepts in your own words
  • Fill in the blank: good for vocabulary and formulas

Mix all four. That is how real exams work.

When AI quizzes go wrong

  • The AI sometimes invents details not in your textbook. Always sense-check answers against your source.
  • Questions that are too easy. If you got 10/10, increase the count or pick a deeper chapter.
  • Questions that are too vague. Re-paste your source with more context.

The fix in all three cases: paste a more specific chunk of source material.

How often

A weekly quiz on every active topic works well. Not too often (you fatigue) and not too rare (you forget).
