Exam format you'll actually sit
ICSE Class 10 Math: 80 marks in 2.5 hours. Section A (40 marks compulsory) + Section B (40 marks, attempt any 4 of 7 questions). ISC Class 12 Math: 80 marks paper + 20 marks project. Three sections — Section A compulsory, Sections B/C optional (relations & functions / probability).

- GST calculations: confusing CGST + SGST split — always 50:50
- Not constructing the actual triangle in similar-triangles proofs
- Forgetting the negative root in quadratic word problems where both apply
- Matrices: rows × columns mistakes (always state order first)
- Calculus: not checking which form of differentiation rule applies
